What are business days?
Business days (also called working days or workdays) are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. They are the standard days when most businesses, banks, and government offices operate.

Are Saturday and Sunday considered business days?
No. In most countries, Saturday and Sunday are not business days. Business days are Monday through Friday. However, some countries (like the UAE) have Friday-Saturday weekends โ our calculator handles this automatically per country.
How many business days are in a year?
A typical year has approximately 260 business days (52 weeks ร 5 days). After excluding public holidays, the number varies by country: the USA has about 250 business days, the UK about 252, and India about 245.
What is the difference between business days and calendar days?
Calendar days include every day (MondayโSunday plus holidays). Business days only count MondayโFriday, excluding public holidays. For example, 7 calendar days from Monday is the following Monday, but 7 business days from Monday is the following Wednesday.
How do I calculate business days in Excel?
